A Tioga County Sheriff’s Deputy has graduated from New York State Drug Evaluation and Classification Program as a Drug Recognition Expert. Deputy Dylan Tiefenthaler received the honor in late March. To get into the program the Deputy had to show an exemplary history of DWI arrests and then had to go in front of a selection panel for an interview.
After being selected for the program, Deputy Tiefenthaler went through three weeks of training, one of which was in Florida. Since his graduation he has made multiple driving while ability impaired
by drugs arrests using this training.
