The New York Gaming Facility Board has published summaries of the seventeen casino applications submitted to the state at the end of June, and some new details regarding the casinos have been revealed in the summaries. According to the board, Tioga Downs’ plan is to convert its existing video lottery terminals into traditional slot machines within 90 days of winning the bid, and a full casino expansion would take place in just 180 days. Tioga Downs would have 1,000 slot machines and 50 table games. In addition to their plans for a 136-room hotel, spa, and event center, Tioga Downs would also be adding five restaurants to their facility, along with an Adventure Center featuring batting cages, rock climbing, and mini-golf. They anticipate that the project would begin generating a combined gaming and non-gaming revenue of over $122 million.
