The Tioga County Health department is urging parents to have their young children checked for lead exposure. Data is showing that not enough young children are being checked. About two thirds have not been tested. There is a greater likelihood of lead in the older homes common in this area. UHS Candor was commended by the health department for their quick and easy testing process.
