TIOGA COUNTY LEGISLATIVE CHAIRWOMAN
ENCOURAGES RESIDENTS TO PREPARE FOR IMPENDING STORM
Owego, NY – With the upcoming storm arriving this weekend, I encourage all Tioga
County residents to prepare for significant levels of snow and cold temperatures.
Stay off the roads if possible and stay indoors. Listen for emergency information
and alerts. Prepare for power outages, and if you do have to use a generator, be
sure to use it outside.
Check to make sure you have batteries for flashlights and portable radio and fill
your car with gas.
Something else that is very important is to check on your neighbors, especially if
they are elderly or alone.
Remember also, if you have an emergency to call 911. This is a good weekend to
stay in and be safe.
