The Tioga County Legislature honored late county fire coordinator John Scott with a special resolution during their meeting today. Scott was honored for his many years of service to the county – 17 as fire coordinator – and his 40-plus years as a volunteer with the Campville Fire Department. He passed away on July 20 at the age of 71 after an accident at an emergency tower site. He is survived by his wife and daughter, who were both in attendance today, along with many members of the Campville Fire Department and other local departments.
