Starting in early 2025, the Town of Owego Fire District will begin billing for ambulance transport services.

This change, made possible by recent New York State law updates, will help support vital upgrades and cover costs for equipment and ambulance operations.

In a post on Facebook, the Campville Fire Department stressed that 24/7 ambulance coverage continues, ensuring high-quality care for all. Billing applies only to transported patients and is handled through Medex Billing. Insurance will be billed first; and financial assistance options are available for those in need.

A public comment session will be held on Monday, Nov 18 at 7 p.m. at Campville Station #3, 1281 Route 38, Owego.

For questions or comments, please attend the session or call Station 1 Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 607-748-9315.
