New York State Troopers had to use a taser to subdue a suicidal Tioga County man on Tuesday.
Troopers Jeremiah Allen and Lucas Anthony were called to assist EMS with a 60-year-old Nichols man who was threatening to commit suicide with a hunting knife. After he refused to drop the weapon and threatened the two troopers, they used their taser to subdue the man and take him into custody.
The unidentified man was transported to Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre for a mental health evaluation. State Police say he was not injured.
