According to the American Cancer Society’s website, prostate cancer is the most common cancer among men other than skin cancer. Tioga State Bank is once again raising awareness to the importance of prostate cancer screening as well as funding for prostate cancer research with the 2021 No Shave November/Cure the Blue Virtual 5K. The event, which is open to all, takes place between November 5 and 7.
Participants can register online now at RunSignUp.com then run or walk the equivalent of 3.1 miles at their convenience. Tioga State Bank will match all registration proceeds up to the first 100 participants. All proceeds go to the Cure the Blue Foundation, a group started by retired members of the NFL’s Buffalo Bills football team to fund prostate cancer research. Prizes will be awarded throughout the race weekend, and the first 100 registrants receive a complimentary race t-shirt and swag bag.
