Two-car crash shuts down 17-C, sends three to hospital

A two-car crash shut down both sides of State Route 17-C in Owego on Monday morning.

The accident occurred at around 8 a.m. on 17-C near Hiawatha and Day Hollow Roads.

According to the New York State Police, a Hyundai was traveling east and crossed over the double yellow lines and hit a Range Rover head on.

Three people in the Range Rover were taken to Wilson Hospital for non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the Hyundai declined to go to the hospital.

The road was back open by 9:30 a.m.

The Campville and Owego Fire Departments responded to the scene.
