Two juveniles have been arrested in connection with a structure fire in the Town of Barton last month.
According to the Tioga County Sheriff’s Office, two juveniles have been charged with burglary in the third degree, arson in the third degree and criminal mischief in the second degree.
Members of the Sheriff’s Office and Fire Investigation Team were called to a fire at a vacant home on Ellistown Road on March 31st.
The Waverly Barton Fire Department put out the fire, which was deemed suspicious by investigators.
The investigation determined that two juveniles were responsible for entering the building and intentionally setting the fire. The damages from the blaze totaled about $65,000.
The juveniles were issued appearance tickets in Tioga County Family Court.
