Village of Newark Valley Mayor Jim Tornatore joined us on the WEBO Morning Show this morning with some exciting news.
The Village of Newark Valley has secured a little over $40,000 from the Floyd Hooker Foundation to add additional playground equipment to Trout Ponds. The new equipment will be age appropriated for children between the ages of two and five years old.
Mayor Tornatore says that the Village hopes to add additional playground equipment for children ages 6-12 next year.
In addition, Mayor Tornatore has announced that the Maine Emergency Squad has received the Certificate of Need from New York State to cover EMS calls in and around both the Town and Village of Newark Valley.
Maine EMS ambulances have been moved to the Village of Newark Valley to allow for faster response times.
Mayor Tornatore wanted to thank Newark Valley Town Supervisor Stu Yetter for his assistance in securing this new EMS coverage.
