The Waverly community is rallying around a Wolverine athlete who is battling cancer.
On Saturday, instead of taking money for admission into a girls-boys doubleheader against visiting Owego, the district will be asking for donations to help support junior Daltton Davis, who was recently diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.
The doubleheader will kick off with the junior varsity girls game at 11 a.m., followed by the varsity girls at around 12:45 p.m. The junior varsity boys game is set for 2:30 with varsity boys set for 4:15.
Stop by the Waverly High School gym on Saturday to help Daltton in his fight against cancer. If you can’t make it, listen to the varsity games on WEBO and the My Hometown Today app.
