The Waverly VFW is hosting a tailgate party to raise money for local animal shelters.
The fundraiser will be held on Sunday, Oct. 13th with proceeds going to the Animal Care Sanctuary and Luke’s Hidden Haven.
The event will run from noon to 7 p.m. with a cost of $5 at the door or a dish to pass per person. Signups will be posted at the VFW’s canteen for the dish to pass or if you would like to use your tailgate.
There will also be sports memorabilia, jerseys and other basket raffle items as well as a 50-50 raffle.
This event is open to the public.
Choice 102 will broadcast live from noon to 2 p.m. at the Waverly VFW Tailgate Party next Sunday, Oct. 13.
