3 Waverly Residents Face Felonies in Drug Investigation

Waverly Police Department recently completed a six-month narcotics investigation with the following arrests for alleged illegal drug activity and sales, according to Sgt. Mark E. Mitchell. Date of the arrests for all three subjects was early morning August 6 in the Village of Waverly.


JANIS A. STEVENSON, age 46, Waverly, was arrested for felony criminal sale of a controlled substance in the third degree and felony possession of a controlled substance in the third degree.


DAVID A. CRAWN, age 30, Waverly, was arrested for felony criminal sale of a controlled substance in the third degree and felony criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 5th degree.


STEVEN J. SHAFFER, age 62, Waverly, was arrested for felony criminal possession of controlled substance in the third degree.


All three were arraigned in Tioga County Court before Judge Gerald Keene. All three were sent to the Tioga County jail to await further legal action.
