The Boil Water Advisory for Waverly and Barton has been lifted.

Earlier story:
The Village of Waverly has been under a water boil advisory for several days after a water main break Tuesday evening. Residents in both Waverly and Barton are urged to boil their water for food preparation and cooking, and brushing teeth. This also includes drinking water for pets. The Waverly School District was forced to close down the rest of the week, leading up to spring break next week. According to the village Water Plant Operator, if all goes as planned the water boil advisory should be lifted by this morning. The Tioga County Health Department requires certain tests before the village can lift the advisory.
