On Tuesday morning, Waverly police responded to a report of burglary at the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church in the Village of Waverly.
Police located three suspects inside the church.
All three were located “sleeping” in the basement area of the church.
Arrested were Neil Wasinski, 19, and an 18 year old female and 16 year old male. All from Elmira.
The three were charged with felony burglary and misdemeanor criminal mischief.
They are accused of breaking a window to gain entry to the church and damaging numerous items inside the church.
They also discharged a fire extinguisher inside the church causing damage.
The estimated damage report was listed as $417.00
All three were arraigned in the Village of Waverly NY Court and sent to the Tioga County Jail in Owego.
The bail amount was listed a $10,000.00 each.
