FROM WAVERLY POLICE DEPARTMENT: On Wednesday, October 23, Waverly police arrested CARL L. SIMPSON , age 54 , of Waverly, for two counts each of felony criminal drug sale (5th degree) and felony criminal drug possession (5th degree). SIMPSON was wanted on a recently issued warrant of arrest from the Tioga County, NY Superior Court.
SIMPSON was arrested following a six month investigation by the Waverly Police Department. SIMPSON was arrested on the indictment / warrant following a traffic stop on Pine Street, Waverly. The date and time of his arrest was October 23rd, 2019 at 5:56 PM.
SIMPSON was sent to the Tioga County jail to await further legal action. Additional drug related criminal charges are pending against SIMPSON, after he was found in possession of additional methamphetamine during the his arrest.
