On Wednesday, the Waverly Police arrested 21-year-old Dylan Wright of Waverly on felony Criminal Mischief and felony Aggravated Cruelty to Animals. The arrest is the result of an investigation into a report that someone had shot at windows at a home with a BB or CO 2 type gun, damaging the glass and siding of a Waverly home in October 2018. At the same time, investigating Officers found that a cat appeared to have been shot near a home on the same street and was fatally injured. The investigation found that Wright was responsible. Wright will appear in court later this month.
