The Tioga Central School District held their annual budget hearing last night in the High School Cafeteria. Superintendent Scot Taylor laid out the district’s proposed $18.5 million spending plan to residents. The budget includes only a slight increase in the property tax levy of 0.15 percent while maintaining all district programs and activities. The superintendent’s presentation is available on the TCSD website. Besides the budget, residents will also vote on propositions to purchase two new school buses and establish a capital reserve fund. Two school board seats are up for election. Tioga Central School District residents will vote May 16 from 11am to 8pm in the Middle School Gymnasium.
