Tioga Downs Casino held their annual kickoff event last night before they begin their 12th season of harness horse racing on Saturday. Regional Vice President of Racing and Simulcast Jason Settlemoir says we have some of the best horse racing in the world right in our backyard.
“Right here in Nichols, NY is some of the best harness racing that the world has – some of the best horses, trainers, and drivers. We look forward to another great season at Tioga Downs.”
Tioga Downs will host their annual Derby Fest this Saturday, with live music throughout the day and racing beginning at 5pm. A full schedule of events is available on the casino’s website and social media pages. Also this month, the track is sponsoring a peanut butter drive – “Spread the Love” – in partnership with the Food Bank of the Southern Tier. Anyone who brings a jar of peanut butter to Tioga Downs on Mondays will receive a coupon for a $5 buffet at the casino.
