Tioga Downs Takes Next Step Toward Casino License

Tioga Downs took the next step as it looks to secure its application for a full casino gaming license when it announced today that it would sign labor agreements with area unions and employers. Tioga Downs has committed to a Labor Peace Agreement for the employees of the Rochester Regional Joint Board, Workers United. It has secured commitments from LPCiminelli Construction to use only union labor.

Labor agreements are a required component of applications for the full casino gaming licenses. Tioga Downs plans to submit its application for the casino license in the coming weeks, as the deadline for applications is the end of June.
