A woman serving as a personal health aide is facing charges of grand larceny after she’s been accused of stealing from her employer using forged checks. 38-year-old Lenora Reid, of Trumansburg, turned herself into Ithaca Police after a warrant was issued for her arrest on Thursday. An investigation began in February, after the employer told police that Reid had stolen money from May of last year through January of this year. She allegedly forged 43 personal checks from her employer, totaling over $11,000. She was arraigned on one charged of grand larceny and one charge of criminal possession of a forged instrument, and was released on her own recognizance.
