Christen Hayes, 30, from the Town of Chenango is facing multiple charges after she was accused of having a sexual relationship with an underage student according to the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office.
Hayes had been employed as a teacher’s assistant.
She’s accused of engaging in sexual activity with the student on several occasions in June 2009 and February 2010.
Hayes faces several charges including felony rape and felony criminal sexual act.
She was arraigned in Town of Dewitt Court, where bail was set at $10,000 cash or $20,000 bond.
She was released from the Onondaga County Justice Center after posting bail.
