A shooting in the Town of Newfield forced a school to go on lock down Tuesday afternoon.
Tompkins County Sheriff’s deputies say two men were shot inside a mobile home on Depot Way around 1 p.m. Shortly after, Newfield Central School district was placed on lock out. That lasted about an hour-and-a-half until investigators determined that the suspect was no longer in the area.
Deputies say the two shooting victims suffered minor injuries and are expected to recover. Their names have not been released.
