The Union-Endicott School District did not win a portion of a $100 million grant. Despite being declared a finalist earlier this year, the Union-Endicott School District did not secure one of ten $10 Million grants announced by XQ America yesterday afternoon. The grants were a part of an initiative to get high schools across America to re-imagine the traditional schooling experience. As part of the grant competition, the Union-Endicott School District proposed converting the former LW West Elementary into a school for children for developmental disabilities, and a business incubator. The XQ Superschool challenge was originally planning on awarding just five $10 million grants, however, announced that ten were awarded during the announcements yesterday.
