Update: Two Charged In Route 86 Fatal Accident

New details have emerged in the investigation into the death of 16-year-old William Warrick who was hit and killed by a tractor trailer while walking along Interstate 86 in the Steuben County town Campbell last week. According to New York State Police, there was a large party held the night before with nearly 30 Corning High School students in attendance. Troopers said Warrick was highly intoxicated when he left the party. The driver of the tractor trailer was not issued any traffic tickets, however, a 16-year-old has been charged with criminal nuisance after police said she hosted the underage party at her home while her mother was at work. Another arrest was also made in connection with the incident. 34-year-old Kelly Campbell was charged with unlawful dealing with a child and two counts of child endangerment. According to investigators, she went to the party with her daughter where the teens were consuming alcohol and smoking marijuana. Campbell also provided alcohol to some of the students. Troopers said Campbell witnessed Warrick get involved in two physical altercations and did not notify police. She was sent to Steuben County Jail on $1,500 bail.
