Update: Winter Storm Warning Remains in Effect until 7AM Monday

A Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 7 am EST Monday.
* Locations: Finger Lakes… Mohawk Valley… southern Tug Hill… central southern tier and north Susquehanna region
* hazards: snow. Snow may be intense at times this afternoon and early tonight.
* Accumulations: 10 to 14 inches possible by Monday morning.
* Timing: a brief period of sleet and freezing rain will move from north to south through noon. Mixed precipitation is expected to change over to all snow by 1 PM.
* Temperatures: below freezing by noon in all areas, falling into the 20s this afternoon.
* Impacts: a mix of freezing rain and sleet is possible through 1 PM this afternoon, mainly over southern sections of the warned area. Cold air rapidly draining into the area will likely cause standing water on roadways to freeze. A period of freezing rain will also cause slick travel conditions. Heavy snow accumulations this afternoon and tonight will make for hazardous travel.

A Winter Storm Warning means significant amounts of snow… sleet… and ice are expected or occurring. Strong winds are also possible. This will make travel very hazardous or impossible.
