Vestal High School students perform with New York state festival symphony orchestra

(Rochester, NY) – Vestal Central School District’s Music Department has announced two High School students participated in the New York State School Music Association (NYSSMA) All-State Conference that was held over the weekend in Rochester.

Senior students Joshua Jang (cello) and Samson Wong (violin) performed with the All-State Symphony Orchestra on Sunday. Both were also invited to attend the NYSSMA All-State Festival last year.

The students are in the Vestal High School Chamber Orchestra, under the direction of Amelia Wilson.

New York State School Music Association’s mission is to advance music education across New York State for its membership and students in member school programs. NYSSMA is a state unit of the National Association for Music Education.
