The Vestal Town Board will receive a grant Wednesday night.
The town will be presented with a check for $3,500 from the Preservation League of New York. It will be used to complete the town’s survey of historic and architecturally significant homes, farms and public buildings, according to town officials. The results will help the town determine what landmarks they have to designate.
The presentation will be made at 7:30pm at the Vestal Town Hall.
The Preservation League was in Elmira on Tuesday night to present a $10,000 grant to Mayor John Tonello. It will be used to do an extensive report on the Brand Park Memorial Pool, which was built in 1949 but has been unused since 2005.
