Headline: Boil Water Advisory issued for area in West Corners north of Ann McGuiness School due to water main break.
Description:
A Boil Water Advisory has been issued by the Village of Endicott Water Department due to a water main break.
Effected areas include: Union Center Highway North of Ann McGuiness School, Payne Road, Lake Avenue, Elise Drive, Sandra Drive, lower Leon Drive below Ellen Drive and Ellen Drive.
This advisory has been issued as a precaution until repairs have been completed and water quality has been tested.
Water samples will be taken over the next two days. Local Media will announce when the Boil Water Advisory has been lifted.
Instructions:
Under this advisory use bottled water or boiled water for drinking, cooking and brushing teeth.
Water must be at a rolling boil for a minimum of one minute. It is alright to use tap water for bathing, washing and showering.
When washing dishes, a one minute rinse is suggested using one half teaspoon of bleach per gallon of tap water.
Shut off automatic ice makers and discard ice.
Again, local Media will announce when the Boil Water Advisory has been lifted. Thank you.
