Watkins Glen International Speedway has unveiled their newly resurfaced racetrack. Construction began on the new pavement immediately following the NASCAR race in August. In just about four months, crews have resurfaced the track, as well as added rumble strips and have made improvements to pit road. With the resurfacing, NASCAR officials are expecting faster lap times for drivers. Though there is still work left to do, the project is expected to be completed within the next several weeks. The 2016 NASCAR season begins in February on WEBO.
