A winter weather advisory is in effect for our area until 8 o’clock Thursday morning. Snow is expected in the afternoon, and could become heavy at times, with blowing and drifting snow expected, along with dangerously low wind chills. 4 to 8 inches of snow is expected, with higher accumulations in spots. Rapid cooling in the afternoon could cause for ice on the roadways to develop quickly. Any travelers should be prepared for slippery roads and limited visibilities.
