The national Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the central Southern Tier and Susquehanna region of New York and the southern Finger Lakes.
Snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches is expected with the highest amounts in Otsego and Chenango counties. Lesser nowfall expected in the central southern tier.
The snow will taper off overnight.
Temperatures will fall into the mid to upper 20s late tonight.
West winds will increase to 15 to 25 mph.
Roads could become snow covered and icy again overnight as temperatures fall below freezing.
