Ryan Burris, 28, of Lansing, Tompkins County died Saturday morning in a fire at his home.
Three other residents of the house were able to escape with minor burns and smoke inhalation injuries.
Emergency crews found Burris dead when they arrived at 88 Buck Road at about 5AM..
Careless smoking is the preliminary cause of the fire.
