Minimum Wage Increases January 1st

Minimum wage in Upstate New York is now $10.40 per hour. That change went into effect on Sunday. It had been $9.70. 40% of people making minimum wage are married or have a child.

More than 50% of those making minimum wage are over 35-years-of-age. On the last day of this year, minimum wage will go to $11.10 per hour in Upstate New York.
