A Pennsylvania man faces felony charges of Assault, Criminal Mischief, Arson, and Escape following an incident at a gas station in Triangle last week. State Troopers responded to a report of a man spraying gasoline at the Express Mart on State Route 11 and threatening to ignite it.
31-year-old Matthew Altif of Schnecksville attacked the first state trooper on the scene, punching him in the face. While being transported for arrest processing, the suspect kicked a trooper in the head while handcuffed. The trooper pulled over and was assisted by other troopers and Broome County deputies.
