The man involved in a chase that started in Tompkins County and ended in the Town of Southport in October has been offered a plea deal.
Bradley Brown, 36, faces nine charges, including burglary, menacing, kidnapping and rape.
But the Chemung County District Attorney offered him a deal to plead guilty to just the menacing charge and serve the maximum sentence of eight years in jail.
That would run concurrent with whatever sentence comes out of his charges in Tompkins County.
A massive manhunt throughout Tompkins and Chemung County lead police to Brown in October.
He was pulled over for driving a stolen vehicle.
But police later realized he was wanted for a home break-in in the Town of Lansing earlier that day.
Brown will appear in Chemung County Court next month.
