The Southern Tier will be receiving $22.9 million in New York State grants to address municipal water infrastructure projects. The associated projects are expected to create 1,000 jobs in the area. Among the recipients are:
• Binghamton with $5,000,000
• Candor with $2,300,000
• Town of Chenango for $5,000,000
• Chemung County for $1,400,000
• Cayuga Heights (Tompkins County) for $2,800,000, and
• Owego $57,000
