Billy Landry, 49, of Liverpool, Texas has been sentenced to 7 1/2 to 15 years in prison in the stabbing death of his landlord, Shawn Miller, last November in Wellsboro, PA.
Landry had claimed the stabbing was in self-defense during an argument, but last month, a jury found him guilty of involuntary manslaughter and aggravated assault.
In court, he apologized to the victim’s girlfriend and her daughter, asking for forgiveness and saying he wished it was he who died that day.
In addition to his sentence, Landry will have to get treatment for alcohol and anger management and pay the court more than $16,000 in fines.
