Disappointment for Two Area Residents Nominated for Academy Awards

Two area residents, nominated for 2011 Academy Awards, were disappointed when the results were announced on Sunday.
Film maker Josh Fox is nominated for his documentary “Gasland,” which gives his view of the Marcellus Shale development in Susquehanna County.
Fox is a resident of Damascus Township, Pennsylvania.
Accomplished actor, Mark Ruffalo was nominated for best supporting actor for his role in “The Kids are All Right.”
Ruffalo is an ardent advocate against natural gas drilling in the area, and has made numerous area appearances at hearings and forums.
Ruffalo lives in Sullivan County, New York.
He has made many high profile films, including Shutter Island, Zodiac, and Collateral.
