The cause of a crash that killed two men in the Town of Colchester is now under investigation.
Delaware County Sheriff’s deputies say Clifford Banks, 46, and Dalton Hills, 19, were killed Friday evening after their pickup truck ran a stop sign on River Road, crossed through a lawn and slammed into an embankment.
The truck was carrying a load of blue stone, which shifted forward during the crash and crushed the cab of the vehicle.
Both Banks and Hills were killed instantly.
Investigators are still looking into what caused the crash, but say they don’t believe alcohol played a factor.
