New York State Police have identified the drivers involved in a fatal head-on crash Monday afternoon on State Route 13 in the Town of Cayuta.
Carol Schwartz, 68, of Wellsboro, Pennsylvania was pronounced dead at the scene.
She was the driver of a 2004 Toyota Highlander that was traveling southbound.
Julia Cribb, 26, of Florence, South Carolina, was driving a 2000 Volkswagen Jetta that collided with the Toyota.
Cribb remains in critical condition at Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, police said.
Police are seeking the driver of a red car driving in front of Cribb.
Alcohol or drugs are not suspected of playing a part in the accident.
