The Penn Yan Police Department is investigating a likely murder-suicide after an adult man and woman were found shot inside a home in the village.
According to WENY-TV, police said the man was shot numerous times while the woman was shot once.
Police were notified after a family member arrived home just after 7 p.m. on Tuesday and found both dead. The bodies were transported to the Monroe County Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy.
The names of the deceased have not been released by law enforcement.
