Dryden man killed in Tompkins County crash

A Dryden man was killed in a two-car crash in Tompkins County on Wednesday.

According to the Tompkins County Sheriff’s Office, 63-year-old Daniel L. Heath was pronounced dead following a crash at the intersection of West Dryden Road and Sheldon Road just after 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

The investigation revealed that Heath’s vehicle did not stop at a stop sign when driving south on Sheldon Road into the intersection, causing a collision with another car.

Heath was taken to the hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

The other driver was transported to the hospital by ambulance with reportedly non-life-threatening injuries.
