A fire destroyed an apartment in Ithaca on Thursday night.
The fire broke out just after 5 p.m. on the 700 block of Chestnut Street in the City of Ithaca.
There was no one inside the apartment at the time of the fire.
The fire was brought under control within about 25 minutes, but the apartment was completely destroyed.
No injuries were reported from the incident.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
