An Ithaca man has pleaded guilty to killing his wife last year.
According to the Tompkins County District Attorney’s Office, 44-year-old Ahmed Abed was charged with murder in the second degree after killing his wife in their South Plain Street home on the morning of Nov. 11, 2024.
Abed faces a minimum sentence of 15 years and a maximum of 25 years to life in state prison.
Abed remains in the Tompkins County Jail until his sentencing on Aug. 19.
