Ithaca Police are investigating an attempted robbery in the area of Terrace Place and Linn Street at about 6:20 PM on Friday. The female victim reported that a heavy set black male, 6’00” tall, in his 20’s or 30’s, wearing all dark clothing with a hood up had turned around after passing her on foot and began following her. The victim turned around and saw that the man had a knife in his hand, at which point he demanded all of her money. The victim ran into the road because a car was coming, and she wanted to get them to stop. At that the suspect began to walk away. When the car drove away, the suspect again started walking back towards her. The victim screamed that she was calling 911 and the suspect began walking away. This incident is under investigation, and the Ithaca Police ask that anyone with information call them at 607-272-3245.
