Both the Ithaca Police Department and the Cornell University Police are investigating multiple reports of males peering into windows of apartments, entering apartments, and lingering in and around the locked entryway of apartment buildings. In each report the suspect is described as a male but the descriptions vary enough that a composite sketch or adequate description is not yet possible. The incidents have occurred in the east hill area.
Police are asking if anyone has information that would aid the investigation, please call police at 607-272-3245 or 607-255-1111, and to dial 911 immediately if you are the victim of a crime or observe suspicious activity in your neighborhood.
