Cornell University has announced that the US Department of Defense has canceled over 75 research grants at the school.

According to the university, the research involved national defense, cyber security and health.

The announcement from Cornell comes after the New York Times reported that the federal government froze more than $1 billion dollars in grants to the university.

The Trump administration has said the funding freeze is due to credible and concerning Title 6 investigations.
