On April 14th, deputies from the Tompkins County Sheriff”s Office investigated a complaint of a stolen motor vehicle from Level Green Road in the Town of Ulysses.
Subsequently, Robert Predmore, 19 of Owego and James Haines, 18 of the Town of Caroline have been arrested.
Predmore was charged with felony Grand Larceny and felony Falsifying Business Records.
Haines was charged with felony Grand Larceny and misdemeanor Auto Stripping.
It is alleged that the suspects stole the vehicle and then sold it to a scrap yard.
Predmore is alleged to have signed business records claiming to be the owner of the vehicle.
Predmore and Haines have both been arraigned in the Town of Caroline Court and have subsequent court appearances.
